Denmead Striders

Welcome to Denmead Striders Website

Denmead Striders was founded in 1989 by our President, Charlie Burton, along with a small group of around 20 enthusiasts all with the common interest of running. We are based in Denmead, a large village approximately 8 miles north of Portsmouth, most of our members living in the Denmead/ Waterlooville area and surrounding environs. We cater for all ages from 18 to 80+ and all abilities from complete novices to experienced marathon runners. We are a friendly club with a current membership of around 160 all of whom train together on club nights. This facilitates a spirit of camaraderie across the club regardless of whether they are an elite runner or a complete novices. Membership is just £26 per year. If you are a new member or your details have changed then please fill in the membership application form which can be found under the information section of our website Membership
