The next cross country race of the season is now confirmed to take place in Bourne Woods near Farrnham on Sunday, 1st March at  the usual time of 11 am.  Please see Bourne Woods Race Instructions for full details of the race including location and parking arrangements. 

As this is last race of the season it would be great if as many members as possible could attend and put on a good show from Denmead.  It is also an opportunity to earn yourself 5 Striders ‘League pomts for competing and an additional bonus point for those who have competed in at least three of this season’s XC fixtures.

Hi Everyone

This is a reminder that following the success of the food bank collection over the last few years we’re going to hold another one this coming Wednesday, 25th February

All you need to do is bring your donations along to training that night and Lisa and Clare will deliver to Waterlooville Food Bank later that week.

The items they are usually low on are:

Toilet rolls, tinned meals, rice pudding, custard, tinned fruit, rice, tinned vegetables, crisps, sweets, microwave rice packets, supernoodles, squash.

Hopefully it wlll be another big success so please donate generously .

Why Is February a Focus?

February is a key time of the year when families are hardest hit. Christmas has come and gone, a time where families feel the pressure to put food on the table and spend money on their children, plus there is a pause on some household bills.
Then February arrives and suddenly the bills descend at a time when cash is even more hard to come by. This is why the month of February is such an important time of the year and why we’re focusing on supporting Food Bank Runs on any day of the month.
